  • March to June (19-29°C) - Ideally, it's the best season to enjoy adventure activities and look around the place, and you can visit all the tourist attractions during summer.
  • July to Sep (10–23°C) - Monsoon can be risky because of cloud bursts or landslides. You can enjoy the mystic monsoon views from your hotel room.
  • Oct to Feb (4-14°C) - The best time to visit quaint villages or monasteries. It's also an ideal time to witness the beauty of snow-clad Himalayan ranges from the region.


  • Airways - You can take a direct flight to Gaggal Airport, the nearest airport. By cab, it is 130 km away from Dalhousie. Once you reach the airport, you can take a cab to your hotel.
  • Roadways - Dalhousie is well connected by road. You can book a cab from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala. Some tourists also travel from Shimla. Also, there are private and public buses that ply in the state, and you can book a ticket online.
  • Railways - You can take a train to Pathankot railway station, which is 80 km away from Dalhousie. Once you reach the station, you can take a cab to reach the place. Pathankot is well connected to other stations.


March to May is ideally the best season to visit Dalhousie to indulge in adventure sports. Oct is also a good time to visit tourist attractions in the region.
