WEATHER:

  • March to June (-3 - 10°C) - Ideally, it is the best time to explore the region and try night camping adventures under the star-lit sky. You can visit tourist attractions during this time.
  • July to Sep (14 - 3°C) - For nature lovers, this season is the best. Admire the true beauty of nature and feel delighted. You may need a permit to visit some places during monsoon season.
  • Oct to Feb (6 -19°C) - It's the time to have fun with your family and friends. Winters can be colder compared to other regions in Himachal.

HOW TO REACH:

  • Airways - You can take a direct flight to Bhuntar Airport, 245 km, away from Kullu. Once you reach the airport, you can book a cab to Spiti Valley. Alternatively, take a flight to Chandigarh and then take a cab to Spiti Valley.
  • Roadways - There are two connecting points to Spiti Valley. One is from Shimla, and the other route is through Manali via Rohtang Pass. But the Manali route can be closed if there is snowfall.
  • Railways - You can take a train to Jogindernagar Railway Station, which is 360 km away from Spiti Valley. Cabs and buses are available from the railway station to Spiti.

BEST TIME TO VISIT:

March to June is ideally the best time to visit Lahaul Spiti as you can explore the region better. Though it may be cold during this time, it's better than the winter season. Relax and unwind in the serenity of nature.
