• Nov to Jan ( 3-25°C) - The best time to enjoy winter-related activities and travel through small villages.

• Airways - Book a flight to Jubbarhatti Airport, 20 km away from Shimla. You can reach the airport and take a cab to the city.
• Roadways - You can book a cab from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Dehradun to Shimla. From Chandigarh, the distance is 115 kms. Many private buses ply in the state - you can book a bus in advance.
• Railways - Take a train to Kalka railway station, which is 96 km away from Shimla. You can take a cab once you reach the station to your booked hotel.

BEST TIME TO VISIT:

You can visit Shimla in May to try adventure activities. Ideally, Dec to Jan is the tourist season as the place witnesses heavy snowfall.
